The PSSC assists the Principal in an advisory role. The committee consists of 3-12 members with a majority of parent members and a teacher representative. A call for participation and/or election occurs in September.
PSSC responsibilities are as follows: Communication with the District Education Council (DEC), nominating members of the school appeal committee, communicating with families and community members, developing a positive school climate, and monitoring the School Improvement Plan.
